Known for it's evergreen forests, picturesque villages, cuckoo clocks and magical landscapes this spectacular region in Baden-Württemberg is full of cultural traditions.

Schwarzenbach-Talsperre
Sometimes there's something more magical than going to the beach and for Hidden Gemsss thats discovering a local Lake. Located in the North of Black Forest close to Forbach village, Schwarzenbach-Talsperre is one of those lakes where you get goosebumps because of it's charm. As-well as a famed motorcycle route, Schwarzenbach-Talsperre is a perfect place to relax and unwind whether that's eyeing up the motorcycles, going on a blissful walk around the lake, having a picnic or perhaps renting out a paddle boat to enjoy a scenic ride in calmness.
Tip: A true local treasure, although the lake may look cold in the summer months it's worthwhile taking a cheeky dip - You won't regret it!
Schäfersfeld Nordrach
As mentioned above, the Black Forest region or commonly also known as 'Schwarzwald' is a truly breathtaking area to hike, walk, cycle or even just taking a drive and enjoying the mystic views. One area in particular caught our breathe when we saw it, Schäfersfeld - 780m up high this viewpoint is ever so memorable which overlooks the Nordrachtal valley, especially if it's slightly cloudy it's almost as if you're walking on the clouds, surreal moment.
Tip: This is an epic sunset spot, make sure to head down and watch the sun disappear into thin air, captivating.
On a side note, make sure to visit Freiberg when you're in the Black Forest region. 'A small city with a big heart' is a famed University destination full of colour, life and history.
