Cap De Barbaria
A holiday within a holiday hotspot? Imagine an island with no fast food chains, high risers, traffic lights, shopping malls and stress, just pure simplicity, unspoiled nature and good vibes only, that's Formentera for you - An island for anyone to unwind whether you're a local or visiting the popular resort of Ibiza. Grab a fast ferry from Ibiza and between 30 - 60 minutes you'll be in a laid back haven of the prettiest landscapes and beaches ready to explore on a bus, bike, moped or car. One preserved landmark in particular which Hidden Gemsss always stops to visit is Cap De Barbaria, the southernmost point on the island where a lighthouse can be classed as magical against it's rocky backdrop 100 meters above sea level with surreal views and a natural cave, it's definitely one to check out.
Tip: You can't drive all the way down, so leave some time as the car park is slightly further up. Otherwise if you're feeling adventurous you can cycle down!
On a side note, if you're a sunset love like us, make sure you head to the side of Playa Migjorn to watch one of the best. Grab a drink at Flipper Y Chiller on their terrace and enjoy the spectacular.
