The alluring, sleepy petite island located off the coast of Cancun is a beach lovers haven.
Snorkelling, Scuba Diving, mooching around the island or simply getting as tanned as possible on their incredible beaches, this Mexican paradise is always on top of our list to 'must see'.
Playa de Norte
Where else in the world have you seen the water so crystal clear and blindingly turquoise along with that picture perfect blue sky and white sand? Thought so! We thought we had until we reached Isla de Mujeres and knew instantly this was the place, especially at their famed beach, Playa de Norte. Only a short 20 minute scenic ferry ride from vibrant Cancun, this island is one of a kind with it's warm welcoming, unbelievable beaches and outstanding snorkelling & scuba-diving, especially their Underwater Museum Of Art aka MUSA.
Tip: Best way to get around is their reasonable priced 'Buggies', fun & stylish combined!
On a side note, as mentioned above although Cancun may be the 'Spring Break' destination there's also some traditional gems, so it's definitely worth a visit and be sure to try some Mezcal at the popular hostel & bar joint, Nomads and a Mole sauced dish before you leave.
