SALCOMBE, DEVON

Tucked away on the southern coast lays the iconic seaside town Salcombe, a loveable holiday hotspot.


Known for it's fresh fish, crisp ciders and scenic roots, one Inn & Restaurant is a just a ferry ride away.


The Ferry Inn

A notable pub with an unrivalled position on the waterfront, The Ferry Inn is one Salcombe's finest spots just a pleasant short ferry ride (around £3) by Portlemouths and Kingsbridge jetties. Offering a large waterside beer garden with picturesque views, this is the perfect place to watch the world go by. The Ferry Inn, sees day-trippers mixed with local boat dwellers, enjoying every second whilst they sip on their cold beverages or munching on their tasty traditional food from scampi & chips to homemade burgers in the sun-trapped haven of Devon.


Tip: Be prepared to wait a while for food, as you can imagine this is a demanding destination.


The Crab Shed

If you want a restaurant that's slightly more special than the norm, The Crab Shed is a wonderful laid back quayside seafood spot. Situated near the Fish Quay just yards away from it's catch of the day, this Salcombe eatery is one of a kind offering idyllic views inside and our, the freshest food, friendly service and a warm, wooden, light interior allowing a gentle, welcoming atmosphere. With an aim to showcase the finest South Devon produce, The Crab Shed should definitely be on your list when you're passing the area.


Tip: Hence the name, The Crab Linguine was a memorable winner.


On a side note, if you want to get back to nature, Wilton Farm is a spectacular camp-site overlooking Salcombe Bay.
