Known as the manufacturing hub for Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, Stuttgart is a lively modern city with a small town edge.
Aside from cars, Stuttgart has a lot to offer with it's green spaces, vineyards, 'city of stairs' and hip hang-outs and cultural attractions.
Condesa
Baden-Württemberg's capital is a slick yet down to earth city which boasts that metropolitan ambience along with a relaxed aura as a mix of, beer gardens, restaurants, shops and parks slice through the central district. Whenever Hidden Gemsss is in the area, there's always one place to stop for that caffeine fix and thats, Condesa. Originally planned as a temporary space, this alternative spot soon convinced the South of Stuttgart community to stay as a go-to cafe in the trendy square of Marienplatz. Perfectly brewed cups, delicious sweet treats and sandwiches and a hipster feel decor with their simple wooden furnishings in and out, this cafe is one to swing by whether it's raining or sunny!
Tip: Their Schokoladen Croissants aka Chocolate Croissants are pretty darn good.
Schankstelle
Schankstelle, was once a former Agip Petrol Station but in Autumn 2011 this unique space was taken over to be converted into a trendy nightlife hotspot which fuses food, drinks and dance in the retro area of Jägerstraße. This colourful, open planned space across three rooms is an ideal spot to check out whether you're planning a company shindig, post work drink or bite to eat or if you've gotten together with your pals for that 'let your hair down' boogie feeling, thanks to the local DJ's spinning the finest urban, house and hip-hop tunes.
Tip: Beers tapped instead of petrol here so make sure you grab a pint!
On a side note, only a 30 minute drive from the city centre you'll come across a museum dedicated to one of Germany's most loved chocolates 'Ritter Sport' in Waldenbuch, it's worth a visit even if it's just the shop!
